Shipping & Refunds

Every issue of Friends in Soft Focus is carefully packed and shipped from New Jersey, USA.

As a small independent publication, every order is prepared with care. The information below explains what you can expect once an order has been placed.

Processing Times

Orders are typically prepared for shipment within 5-7 business days.

During publication launches, holidays, or periods of high order volume, processing times may occasionally be longer. If a significant delay occurs, we'll do our best to let you know.

Domestic Shipping

We currently offer free standard shipping within the United States.

Orders are shipped using the carrier and service selected at the time of fulfillment.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information whenever available.

International Shipping

Friends in Soft Focus proudly ships worldwide.

We offer flat-rate international shipping based on destination. Shipping charges are determined by the country or region to which your order will be shipped and are displayed during checkout.

Please note that international delivery times vary depending on destination and local postal services.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.

These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Friends in Soft Focus has no control over these fees and cannot predict their amount.

Incorrect Shipping Addresses

Please review your shipping address carefully before completing your purchase.

If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

If your order has not yet shipped, we'll gladly update the address.

If an order is returned because an incorrect address was provided, we're happy to resend it once additional shipping costs have been paid.

Lost Packages

If your package appears to have been lost during transit, please contact us.

We'll work with you and the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment and determine the most appropriate next step.

When appropriate, replacement copies may be issued.

Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please email us within 14 days of delivery.

Including photographs of the packaging and damaged items will help us resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Where appropriate, we'll gladly send a replacement.

Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong item or your order is incomplete, please let us know within 14 days of delivery.

We'll make every reasonable effort to correct the mistake promptly.

Returns

Because Friends in Soft Focus consists of limited-edition printed publications and paper goods, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns for:

  • change of mind

  • accidental purchases

  • unwanted gifts

  • minor variations in paper, color, or print production that naturally occur during manufacturing

Replacements

We'll gladly replace an order when:

  • it arrives damaged,

  • it is lost in transit,

  • or an error occurred during fulfillment.

Replacement requests may require photographs or additional information so we can better understand what happened.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before they have been prepared for shipment.

Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.

If you need to cancel an order, please write to us as soon as possible.

Limited Editions

Many Friends in Soft Focus publications are produced in intentionally limited quantities.

If an item sells out before a replacement can be issued, we'll work with you to find an appropriate solution, which may include a refund or, where possible, a replacement from our archive copies.
